Indonesia Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) and
European Business Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia (EuroCham) invite you to

Breakfast Briefing on
Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA)
to be opened by Canadian Ambassador Peter MacArthur and
EU Ambassador Vincent Guerand

The CETA entered into force on September 21, 2017. It is a progressive and mutually beneficial free trade
agreement which covers all sectors and aspects of Canada-EU trade and reflects our common values.
It will boost trade, investment and commercial ties and create jobs on both sides of the Atlantic.
With Indonesia and the EU currently engaged in bilateral negotiations, and with Canada and
ASEAN recently launching FTA exploratory discussions, this event will provide a timely overview of
some of the key features of this landmark agreement.
The briefing will provide an overview of benefits for Canadian exporters and
outline best practices that help ensure that gains are equally shared between all segments of society.
It will cover export opportunities provided by the Agreement and will also highlight the systemic
benefits of CETA to shape global trade rules. It will also discuss various themes of the Agreement
with a particular focus on aspects of relevance to Indonesia, including market access gains,
progressive investment provisions and broad public private consultations.
